Krista Johnston

Krista Johnston, Ph.D. completed her doctoral degree in the Clinical Psychology at SFU under the supervision of Dr. Grace Iarocci. Her interest in autism research was originally sparked through her work as a Behavioural Interventionist doing ABA therapy, something she first started in 2000. Krista’s research interests include measurement and treatment of anxiety, depression in autism, assessment of autism in the context of epilepsy, the development of social competence, and the use of software technology to teach social skills to children and adolescents with autism. Krista’s research has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategic Initiative in Health Research (STIHR).
